Fishing Tales --- landing a big tuna

One of Meakin’s dreams when we retired to Lubbers in 1995 was to be able to catch fish. We tried to catch them from the dock in front of our house but those fish were smart. If, and I do mean if, you were able to catch one, somehow the word spread in the fish kingdom and you weren’t able to catch another one that day.

One day Al, a friend of ours and his oldest son also named Al, were going fishing in the ocean and invited Meakin to join them. Sure enough, they caught a big 40 pound tuna. According to Meakin, it took two men and a boy to boat it but by golly, they got it. It doesn't get any better than this in Abaco.
