Old drawing of Hope Town Harbour

This drawing of Hope Town Harbour was given to me by Vernon Malone. It's titled General View of Hopetown, Abaco, Bahamas. Note the spelling of Hope Town. By the looks of the sailboats I would guess it's sometime in the 1800's. It's signed either A. Stem or A. Stom. Please feel free to leave your comments if you can add any information as to the date.

Gorgeous drawing...drawing (!!). Wow, to be able to draw like that. I know nothing of the area, but I can dream, right :)

Hi....

This looks the same as one I donated to the Hope Town museum about 4 years ago....here is the info on it below from a map dealer in the U.K.

Hi Kelly, Attached is a Jpeg of the engraving. It is an original wood engraving drawn by Slom, engraved by Kohl. 1878. Very good condition.
The printed area measures 7.5" wide x 5.5". The sheet size is 10.5" wide x 7.25".
I will list it for $95.00 US plus postage. If you need it fast I will send it via FedEx. I will post it to you first then send you a separate bill for postage.
